Right before it gets too cold, you might want to enjoy a few more recreational drives along the scenic Las Vegas desert. With your RV prepped and ready, you’ll want to check out a number of sights, but always be sure to keep your safety in mind. Remember some of these tips before you get started on your drive and always stay safe!

Carry Water for Your Passengers

As anybody who’s traveled through the desert will tell you, it is absolutely crucial for you to carry enough water for yourself and your passengers. You want to make sure that you can survive in the desert if your car accidentally breaks down. Keep at least three days worth of water per person with you. A gallon a day is a good metric to remember, even if you believe that you may need less during your travels.

Carry Water for Your Car

You will also need additional water for your vehicle’s radiator. The local desserts can do a number on your car’s radiator, even when the weather starts to get cold. Older vehicles can especially become noticeably stressed in such extreme conditions. Keep some extra water around for your radiator and make sure that your car has an efficient air conditioning system to keep you and your passengers comfortable during the trip.

Keep Your Car in Good Condition

Having an RV could be a major responsibility if you are not prepared to take care of it. An RV requires a little bit more care than an ordinary vehicle because of how many additional stations you need to maintain in the vehicle. Before you go for any leisure or camping drive, it is critical to make sure that your car has been serviced so that there are no unpleasant surprises along the way.
